Today’s topic touches upon the business analyst’s role in a time where the delivery of information technology services is undergoing a shift away from the traditional brick and mortar model to one where services are provided “in the cloud”, or what is more commonly known as software-as-a-service or the SaaS model. And when we talk about enterprise architecture, the interconnected functional components of an organization in terms of information technology, business processes and people, software-as-a-service is also a component itself of service oriented architecture, or SOA, or associated with service oriented architecture, in the enterprise architecture realm.
